Day Air Credit Union is proud to announce that our Community Development Manager, Ashley Runk, has been honored with the Sandie Geib Ambassador of the Year Award at the annual WiBN Awards Gala, hosted by Women in Business Networking (WiBN).
This award recognizes a woman who epitomizes the spirit of community service, leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. Someone who serves as a true ambassador for her profession and her community.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience, Ashley has devoted her career to building meaningful connections and empowering others. Since joining Day Air Credit Union nearly seven years ago, she’s become a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen community connections and expand access to financial education.
In her role, Ashley leads programs that build lasting partnerships with local organizations, bring financial literacy resources to schools and nonprofits, and create opportunities for residents across the Miami Valley. Her drive and energy have made a significant impact both within the credit union and throughout the broader community. Beyond her professional work, she remains active in local chambers, volunteer efforts, and community programs.
“Ashley’s passion for people and dedication to our mission is unmatched,” said Joe Eckley, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Day Air Credit Union. “She has an incredible ability to connect with others, inspire collaboration, and create meaningful change in our community. We’re proud to have her on the Day Air team and couldn’t be more excited to see her recognized with this well-deserved honor.”
It’s that same commitment to service and empowerment that earned her this honor. WiBN presents the Sandie Geib Ambassador of the Year Award each year to someone who champions others, uplifts women in business, and fosters positive change across the community. Ashley truly embodies everything this award represents. This recognition is not just a testament to Ashley’s past achievements, it signals more impact ahead.
