DayMet Credit Union made Christmas magical for three deserving families

DAYTON, OH (January 20, 2021) — DayMet Credit Union showered three Miami Valley families with gifts over Christmas, making Christmas magical for twelve children and their parents. The families were chosen through a call for nominations from the community.

“We’ve developed a ‘Do Good’ initiative and are focused on reaching out to our community,” said Jaime Crooks, VP of Marketing at DayMet. “Christmas was the perfect time to help those who needed it. It’s our goal to make a positive impact on those within the community we serve. We are here to brighten someone’s day and put a smile on their face.”

Through the help of Engage City Church, DayMet released a call for nominations. The goal was to find families within the community who had experienced challenges over the past year. While Christmas can often be a stressful time, DayMet wanted to make the holiday magical and bring some calmness and happiness to a challenging time.

Through the support of the credit union and its employees, Christmas gifts were purchased for the three chosen families. On December 23rd, the wrapped gifts were delivered to each of the three families in the credit union’s branded vehicle.

“People experience hardship and challenges,” said Zach Clark, SVP of Operations at DayMet. “If we can show them that someone is here to care for them and help them through, then we are serving our mission of people helping people. It’s our goal to leave Dayton better than we found it.”
