DCECU employees raise money for senior services of Midland County

MIDLAND, MI (June 19, 2015) — Staff members at Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union raised $315 for Senior Services of Midland County through their most recent “Jeans Day for Charity” fundraiser. For each of the one-day fundraisers throughout the year, participating DCECU employees donate a minimum of $5, which entitles them to wear blue jeans, tennis shoes and logoed attire to work that day.

Serving senior citizens throughout the county, Senior Services promotes and enriches quality of life for older adults and those who care for them by collaboratively providing meaningful services and opportunities. The nonprofit agency offers a wide variety of services ranging from transportation and odd-job support to health benefit assistance and a Meals on Wheels program.

“Our employees are dedicated to supporting organizations that assist members of our regional community,” said DCECU President/CEO Dennis Hanson. “Through regular fundraisers, donations and volunteerism, we emphasize the importance of working with community groups and of giving back as a way of life.”

Thus far in 2015, DCECU employees have raised $1,800 for charitable and community organizations through regular Jeans Day for Charity fundraisers.
