DCECU goes social, expands online member services
MIDLAND, MI (July 16, 2014) — Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union recently expanded its online presence, allowing members to get updates on news and promotions and contact the credit union through Facebook at www.facebook.com/dcecu.
“We know that our members are increasingly looking for quick and easy ways to access news and information,” said DCECU Marketing Director Barb Ostroski-Enos. “We recently created a Facebook page as a one-stop source for the latest information on upcoming events; important news affecting our industry; and our products, services and promotions.”
As members enjoy credit union news and information at their fingertips, DCECU asks that they remember that social media is generally available to the public. Never post personal, private or confidential information such as addresses, telephone numbers, account information or passwords. The credit union will never ask for this type of information through a channel like social media – whether in a public post or private message.
In addition to its social media presence, the credit union offers a variety of Web-based and mobile services. Members can access account information, complete transactions, pay bills online and keep up-to-date on the status of their accounts through automatic alerts by using Online Banking. Also, members can access their account information on the go and even deposit checks from their compatible mobile devices with the Mobile Banking app.
