DCUC launches 2026 advocacy priorities toolkit to support credit unions nationwide and overseas

WASHINGTON, DC (February 27, 2026) |

The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) has released its 2026 Advocacy Priorities Toolkit and supporting handouts to help member credit unions effectively navigate policy, legislative, and regulatory initiatives across the United States and overseas.

The resources are designed to equip credit unions with actionable guidance to advocate on issues that impact financial readiness, access to services, and community support for millions of members.

“Each of these priorities represents a critical element of our mission to strengthen credit unions and the communities they serve,” says Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO. “Through this toolkit, DCUC reaffirms our commitment to supporting and amplifying the credit union difference, ensuring credit unions can continue delivering meaningful financial solutions, advancing their mission, and achieving success in every community they serve.”

“As new legislative proposals and regulatory initiatives take shape, these priorities serve as a roadmap to ensure credit unions can take part in effective grassroots advocacy to protect financial readiness, maintain access to essential services, and continue delivering innovative solutions,” added Jason Stverak, DCUC Chief Advocacy Officer.

DCUC’s 2026 Advocacy Priorities Toolkit provides clear messaging, talking points, and resources for credit unions to engage policymakers and stakeholders effectively, helping safeguard the interests of members and strengthen the impact of credit unions nationwide.
