DCUC sponsors Kuwait MWR’s 10 Mile Freedom Run/Walk
WASHINGTON, DC (May 18, 2022) — DCUC proudly sponsored the 10 Mile Freedom Run/Walk at Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring in Kuwait this April. The races, hosted by Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR), were held in conjunction with the Credit Union Cherry Blossom race in Washington, DC. The events brought together Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers for some friendly competition.
“The MWR’s programming is an important part of life on any installation, especially for servicemembers stationed overseas away from their families. MWR provides valuable support for our military members and their families, and DCUC is proud to continue its support of events like this that provide an opportunity for our servicemembers to build community and morale,” said Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO.
DCUC has supported the Kuwait 10 Mile Freedom Run since 2013. In addition to providing affordable and effective financial services, DCUC and its member credit unions recognize supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of our servicemembers is vital to mission readiness.
