DCUC sponsors the Kuwait 10 Mile Freedom Run/Walk

DCUC proudly sponsored the 10 Mile Freedom Run/Walk hosted by Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) at Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring in Kuwait. The races brought together Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers for friendly, competitive events.

The MWR reported an outstanding turnout at each event with more than 600 finishers at Camp Arifjan and over 450 finishers at Camp Buehring. Each racer received a dri-fit t-shirt and the MWR reported that the racers were pleased with both the shirts and overall event.

Anthony Hernandez, DCUC President/CEO, was glad to see the race continue this year, despite the pandemic. He shared that “MWR programs are an integral part of life on any installation. They provide valuable support for our military members and their families. DCUC has been sponsoring the Freedom Run for many years and will continue to do so.”

Traditionally, the races are run in conjunction with races in Germany, Sacramento, CA, and the Credit Union Cherry Blossom race in Washington, DC. However, with the ongoing pandemic, the other races were cancelled or postponed.
