Denver Community Credit Union is now Zing Credit Union
DENVER, CO (April 21, 2022) — Denver Community Credit Union is rebranding to Zing Credit Union. This big change has been years in the making and is a strategic move to be more inclusive to communities and potential members outside of the City of Denver. We began considering a rebrand in 2017. Interviews and focus groups guided the decision. This is a decision that was not taken lightly and was evaluated for the future opportunities a name change offers.
Our culture and values are not changing. Caring about making a lasting impact and maintaining a local focus will remain pillars of our organization. We chose the name Zing Credit Union because we feel it aligns with our culture and values, and it reflects our staff’s energy for serving our membership and community.
We Care About Lasting Impact
Since 1934, we have measured our success by the stories of members who have achieved their financial goals. Each savings milestone reached, home purchased, lift of a financial stress, and investment made, means our members are better off today and for the future. There’s a reason over 30% of our members have been with the credit union for 10 years or longer.
We Are Local
We define local as more than being from a place. It means we are committed to the people who are making our communities better and stronger and are energized to help them. It means we are building talent in these communities, serving local businesses, and investing in community organizations through service. In 2021, credit union staff volunteered over 1,010 hours with non-profits across the Denver metro area, an in-kind value of over $30,500 for local charitable organizations.

The products and services we provide are created to help members achieve financial goals. Community service is integrated into our operations and includes an annual all-staff volunteer day, employee board and committee service, and giving drives. Our credit union was recognized as a Civic 50 Colorado Honoree the past three consecutive years by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognized our credit union as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in Colorado as determined by an independently administered and scored survey.
We Are a Team of Financial Mentors
We’re enthusiastic about building a personalized playbook of financial education and resources to embolden community members to achieve their goals. We combine the resources of a trusted financial institution along with our brand of personalized financial mentorship to actively support people as they work to achieve their goals. We’ve served our membership and community with tailored award-winning financial education since 2005 through live classes and workshops, one-on-one financial coaching, e-courses, podcasts, and more. In the past ten years, we reached over 29,000 people with financial education.
