DepositAccounts.com gives Texas Trust Credit Union its top rating

ARLINGTON, TX (June 15, 2020)Texas Trust Credit Union has received an A+ rating for its financial health from DepositAccounts.com.

DepositAccounts grades the financial health of credit unions and banks as a service to consumers so that they can make more informed decisions and feel more confident in the financial institutions where they bank. Each institution receives a comprehensive health score graded on capitalization, deposit growth and loan-to-reserve ratios. Only 11 percent of all financial institutions receive an A+ health rating.

Texas Trust’s ratings were:

  • Loan-to-reserve ratios: From 2018 to 2019, Texas Trust experienced a 54.26 percent positive change, indicating a dramatic improvement in its balance sheet and financial strength.
  • Deposit Growth: In the past year, Texas Trust increased non-brokered deposits by $96.66 million, resulting in 10.22 percent growth for the year. A strong track record of growth is an indicator of consumer confidence and the bank’s ability to strengthen its balance sheet.
  • Capitalization: With $1.34 billion in assets and $138.4 million in equity, Texas Trust’s capitalization level of 10.3 percent is above average, which allows for a greater buffer to cover loans that may fail in the future.

“DepositAccounts.com provides a valuable service to consumers and we are honored to have earned their A+ health score,” said Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “For our members this rating shows that we are doing an excellent job in managing our loans and deposits. Every member should be pleased at that.”
