Dort Federal Credit Union announces 2015 scholarship recipients

FLINT, MI (June 23, 2015) — Dort Federal Credit Union proudly announces their 2015 student scholarship recipients. This is the first time Dort Federal Credit Union has offered a student scholarship program. Applications were accepted from members who are graduating from high school in 2015 and plan to attend college in the fall; or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary school with full-time status.

With more than 60 applications received, the Dort Federal Board of Directors selected students based on academic and community achievement. The recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The 2015 Dort Federal Credit Union Scholarship recipients are:

Adam Chapman of Flushing, Michigan. Adam graduated from Flushing High School in 2012 and is currently studying Actuarial Mathematics at the University of Michigan-Flint.

Justin Dunn of Burton, Michigan. Justin graduated from Faith Baptist School in 2014. He is currently studying Cyber Defense at Baker College of Flint.

Haley Orlowski of Fenton. Haley graduated from Fenton High School in 2015 and will be attending Oakland University to pursue a career in nursing.

Rianni Lee of Flint. Rianni graduated from Flint Southwestern Academy in 2015. She will be attending Wayne State University to pursue a career in nursing.

Dort Federal Credit Union has been serving the Greater Flint community for 64 years. With more than 70,000 members, Dort Federal Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships, or volunteers in Genesee, Lapeer, or Shiawassee County, or Deerfield and Tyrone Townships in Livingston County.
