DuPage Credit Union offers payroll assistance options for federal employees

NAPERVILLE, IL (March 17, 2026) |

In response to the financial strain caused by the ongoing government shutdown, DuPage Credit Union is offering special payroll assistance programs to help affected government employees manage expenses.

The Credit Union’s Payroll Assistance Loan is a 0% APR1 personal loan that can be used for any expense. Members can choose between 60-day (no credit check required), and a 6-month (credit check required) loan terms1.

Applications for either program are open through March 31, 2026.

In addition, DuPage Credit Union is offering a Payroll Assistance Skip-A-Pay program, allowing furloughed government workers to defer their March 2026 monthly payment on an eligible vehicle loan, personal loan, or credit card2.

“Supporting our members through challenging times is what being a credit union is all about,” said DuPage Credit Union President Roberta Kozlowicz. “We want to give our members a sense of stability and peace of mind while they wait for their paychecks to resume.”
