Educational Systems FCU supports 2015 STEM Events and Science Fairs

GREENBELT, MD (April 28, 2015) — Educational Systems FCU recognized students for their outstanding 2015 school year projects during Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) events and Science Fairs. The Prince George’s County Area Science Fair Awards Night included entries from students in Prince George’s County as well as category winners from Calvert and St. Mary’s counties. Educational Systems FCU awarded gift card prizes and certificates to the winners.

Prince George’s County Area Science Fair Winners: 

  • Savannah Jabr: 11th grader at Spring Ridge Middle School; Wind Turbine Blades Efficacy
  • Ariel Wright: 11th grader at St. Columbia School; Gray Water Filtration
  • Natalie Wolfe: 12th grader at Great Mills High School; MedMinder
  • OreOluwa Aluko: 12th grader at Charles Herbert Flowers High School; Effect of Fatty Acids on Overwintering Success of Honeybees
  • Mina Fahmi: 12th grader at Great Mills High School; Exoskeleton/Supernumerary Limb System

Anne Arundel County Science Fair Winners: 

  • Brianna Banting: 9th grader at Broadneck High School; Effect of Blade Angle on Energy Output
  • Hunter Dement: 9th grader at Broadneck High School; Algorithmic Alteration
  • William Murray: 8th grader at Crofton Middle School; How Much Does a Penny Weigh?
