Educational Systems Federal Credit Union and the Support Education Foundation bring warmth to students with the Warming Hearts and Hands campaign

Greenbelt, MD (February 11, 2025) |

Educational Systems Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the donation of 5,714 new winter accessories through the Support Education Foundation’s Warming Hearts and Hands program. The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization started by the Credit Union, is dedicated to charitable giving benefiting the education community.

Throughout November, Credit Union branches collected hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and socks to support K-12 and community college students in need. Thanks to the generosity of Credit Union members, Ambassadors and the local community, this year’s campaign made a significant difference for students during the winter season.
“We are inspired by the support shown for the Warming Hearts and Hands program,” said Girado Smith, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “It is heartwarming to see our members, Ambassadors and business partners come together to help ensure students in our community stay warm this winter. Their generosity continues to make a lasting impact.”
Each year, Educational Systems FCU, through the Support Education Foundation, Inc., brings warmth and comfort to students by donating hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and socks during the cold winter months,” said Jehnell C. Linkins, Student Needs and Outreach Coordinator for the College of Southern Maryland. “We deeply appreciate your support and commitment to making a difference in the education community. Your thoughtful donations ensure that our students have the essentials they need to stay warm and focused on their academic success.”
