EECU and the Tulare County Office of Education celebrate excellent educators

FRESNO, CA (October 23, 2025) |

Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) partnered with the Tulare County Office of Education to celebrate the county’s top educators at the 2025 Excellence in Education Awards Recognition Breakfast held on October 22.

EECU is proud to sponsor this annual event, which honored 34 exceptional educators who make a difference in the lives of students and families throughout Tulare County. The honorees were nominated by their peers from across the county, and the top candidates were selected by a committee as:

  • School Employee of the Year– Joanna Woodyatt, Registered Behavior Technician at Rocky Hill Elementary School, Exeter Unified School District
  • Administrator/Manager of the Year– Andrew Woodley, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Porterville Unified School District
  • Teacher of the Year– Heather Silva, Eighth-Grade Teacher at Alpine Vista School, Tulare City School District

EECU President and CEO Elizabeth J. Dooley co-hosted the breakfast with Tulare County Superintendent of Schools Tim A. Hire. This long-standing partnership is one of the many ways EECU supports educators and families in the communities it serves.

“Educators are at the heart of every community,” Dooley said. “Their compassion, creativity, and commitment to helping students succeed inspires us all. EECU is honored to recognize their outstanding work and to partner with the Tulare County Office of Education in celebrating those who make such a meaningful impact every day.”

The Tulare County Excellence in Education Awards ceremony is one of six annual countywide events EECU sponsors each year to recognize and support exemplary educators and school staff throughout Central California and the Central Coast.
