FRESNO, CA (March 30, 2026) |
Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) proudly sponsored the Annual Laotian Educational Conference hosted by the Laotian American Community of Fresno, which was held March 27 at the Fresno State Satellite Student Union.
The inspiring event brought together junior high and high school students from across the region to explore the importance of education and gain the tools and resources needed to succeed.
This year’s conference focused on artificial intelligence and how it is shaping careers and college pathways, while also connecting students with Lao professionals and student mentors who shared their personal experiences and guidance.
“Events like this open doors for students to see what’s possible,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO. “When young people can connect with mentors and explore real career paths, it builds confidence and helps them envision a future they can achieve.”
Through workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, students gained valuable insight into emerging career fields and the educational paths that can help them reach their goals. The event also highlighted the importance of cultural connection and community support in student success.
EECU remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that uplift students and strengthen the communities it serves. By partnering with organizations like the Laotian American Community of Fresno, EECU continues to invest in the next generation of leaders.
