Jeffrey Kash, Community Development Manager at Elevations Credit Union, proudly accepted the Community Partner Award on Sat., May 11 from the League of Women Voters of Boulder County. Mr. Kash was honored alongside four additional Community Partners: Senator Mike Foote, Linda Sorauf and Sylvia Bernstein of Colorado National Popular Vote and Faith Gowan, a Boulder artist.
Mr. Kash is dedicated to the mission of the LWVBC and regularly hosts events at Elevations such as panel discussions, speakers, voter registration training, seminar events about suffrage history in Colorado presented by the Museum of Boulder, and a screening of the documentary “I Voted?” - produced by Katie Couric - in May 2017 with a Q&A session following with filmmaker Jason Grant Smith.
This led to the formation of Elevations’ wildly successful Classic Film Series in October 2017. These monthly free-and-open-to-the-public showings of curated classic movies have created a community of fiercely loyal participants. Last summer Mr. Kash organized the screening of the 1948 film “State of the Union” co-starring Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy and on Tues., June 11, 2019, Mr. Kash and Elevations will again co-host a much-anticipated movie event with the LWVBC – the 80th anniversary of “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” starring Jimmy Stewart at 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM at Elevations Credit Union located at 1 Environmental Way in Broomfield.
