Elevations Credit Union’s giving program, Local Change, to benefit COVID-19 relief throughout 2020
Elevations Credit Union will match all Local Change donations through end of 2020
BOULDER, CO (May 21, 2020) — Elevations Credit Union members can now easily donate to local COVID-19 relief through Elevations’ giving program, Local Change. Plus, all donations made through Local Change this year will be matched by Elevations Credit Union.
With Local Change, members can opt in to automatically round up their debit card purchases and donate the change to Elevations Foundation, which will maximize the impact of contributions. To help meet the critical needs within our community resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic, all Local Change donations for the remainder of 2020 will support local relief efforts. Elevations Foundation is partnering with local organizations that deliver funds and support to first responders and their families, and those directly impacted by COVID-19.
Local Change donations will go to two designated local organizations each month. Through the end of June, Local Change donations will help meet the increased community need for two local food banks: Community Food Share and Food Bank of Larimer County.
Community Food Share: To keep pace with our community’s increased need, our food bank requires more resources — by July, we’ll spend more than twice what we budgeted for food purchasing. This is our reality for the long haul, as we anticipate the recovery period lasting much longer than the virus itself. For every dollar donated, Community Food Share can provide three meals.
Food Bank for Larimer County: For every dollar donated, we provide two meals to those in need.
“Elevations Local Change has always been an easy way for our members to show their support for our community,” stated Dennis Paul, Elevations Credit Union’s VP of Community Affairs. “With the help of our members, we have already contributed $150,000 for local COVID-19 relief. We are proud to provide a simple way for our members to round up their change and support their neighbors during this pandemic.”

- If you have an Elevations debit card, you can be a part of Elevations Local Change
- When enrolled, transactions made with a debit card are rounded up to the nearest dollar
- Each day, the total change from the previous day’s transactions will be securely deposited to Elevations Foundation as a single donation
- Elevations Foundation will channel your donations through the end of 2020 to its Community Relief Fund, going to two designated organizations each month supporting those impacted by the COVID-19 crisis in our community
- Elevations Credit Union will match Local Change donations through the end of 2020
- Members can set a monthly donation cap, and may change the cap at any time
- Donations may be tax deductible; members should check with a qualified tax advisor
