Ent Federal Credit Union and UCCS Extend Agreement; new arts venue named Ent Center for the Arts

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 1, 2015) — Ent Federal Credit Union and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) have extended their current marketing and operating agreement for 15 years. As part of the agreement, Ent received naming rights for the soon to be constructed UCCS visual and performing arts venue, which will be named the Ent Center for the Arts. Ent also received the right to construct a free-standing service center at the corner of Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Nevada Ave, across the street from the popular University Village retail development.

This 15-year agreement, valued at $12.6 million, extends the original Ent/UCCS marketing and operating agreement which began in 2006.  The operating agreement provides UCCS students, faculty and staff with an Ent Checking Account the option of combining their Ent Debit Card with their UCCS photo id as an “Ent/UCCS Lion OneCard.” For added member convenience on-campus, Ent has a service center located in UCCS’s University Center building as well as three on-campus ATMs.

Groundbreaking for the Ent Center for the Arts is scheduled for August of this year, with opening scheduled for January 2018. The venue will be designed to encourage and support working relationships with community cultural organizations and to provide direct public access to performances, exhibits and classes. It will include a 750-seat main theater, a 250-seat recital hall, the university’s 250-seat Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theatre, home to the UCCS resident theater company, Theatreworks, the Osborne Theater, to be used by the theater and dance program, and the Gallery of Contemporary Art Education.

“We recognize the key role UCCS plays in our community – both as an educator of tomorrow’s leaders and as a growth engine for our local economy,” said Randy Bernstein, Ent’s president and CEO. “This extension of the Ent/UCCS partnership allows Ent to continue providing high-quality financial services to UCCS students, faculty and staff, support the continued growth of the University and provide added service center convenience to our membership.”
