Technology and quality assurance veteran joins default servicing technology leader
Los Angeles, CA — November 19, 2012 — Equator, the national leader in default servicing technology, has hired Sevak Markarian as the company’s new vice president of quality assurance. Markarian will oversee Equator’s quality assurance efforts in the company’s development, testing and delivery of industry-leading solutions for servicers, service providers and real estate agents.
Markarian has well over a decade of information technology experience, and has held management level positions in quality assurance and process improvement for over ten years. He is a recognized expert in software quality assurance (QA), has authored and co-authored numerous papers and has spoken at several conferences and forums such as HP Universe and Agile Cafe on the topic. Markarian has valuable experience managing large enterprise QA teams in environments involving multiple and customized software releases.
Prior to joining Equator, Markarian served as senior QA director for Accelrys, a global provider of scientific enterprise software. He has also worked for Hewlett Packard, where he was QA section manager and global principal QA strategist/architect and led an international team of more than 120 QA testers and mentored QA managers in other countries. Markarian’s other roles include QA project manager for Safeway/Blackhawk Network and ETS national defect manager for Kaiser Permanente.
