Financial Center receives national award for Adult Financial Education from Credit Union National Association

The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) recognized Financial Center First Credit Union with a national award for adult financial education in Washington, D.C. on March 4, 2020.

Financial Center received 2nd Place in the Desjardins Adult Financial Education category (assets of $250 million - $1 billion) for its wide-reaching financial literacy program. In 2019, over 9,000 of Financial Center’s members and members of the greater-Indianapolis community benefitted from Financial Center’s free financial education either in person or online.

In 2019, more than 9,000 people received financial literacy instruction from Financial Center through seminars, one-on-one financial counselling, online learning, a partnership with the Consul de Mexico, and financial literacy outreach to non-profit community groups.

2020 marks the sixth year that Financial Center received national recognition in this award category.
