Financial Resources FCU Foundation announces annual scholarship winner
BRIDGEWATER, NJ (August 13, 2014) — Financial Resources FCU Foundation, the Foundation for Financial Resources Federal Credit Union, recently awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 from their Annual Scholarship Contest. The award amount is paid jointly to the recipient and to their college.
The 2014 scholarship recipient is Lisa Brown of Ringoes, NJ. Lisa will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Her personal goal is to become a mechanical engineer.
Lena Matthews, President of the Foundation and President & CEO of the Credit Union said, “Lisa Brown represents the best and the brightest, showing outstanding commitment to her studies and her community. We are proud to help support her and eager to follow her achievements as she continues her education.”

The 2014 Foundation Scholarship Contest followed recent formats where applicants were judged on SAT scores, if applicable; academic performance, community involvement, teacher recommendations, and personal goals.
