Financial Resources Federal Credit Union Chairman Emeritus wins National Credit Union Award

BRIDGEWATER, NJ (February 26, 2014) – Peter Bruno, Chairman Emeritus of Financial Resources Federal Credit Union has been named to the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) Volunteer Hall of Fame for 2013. The CUES Volunteer Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement award given to ensure outstanding directors are always remembered. It acknowledges volunteers who have improved their organizations, the credit union movement, and their communities.

“No one exemplifies this award more than Peter Bruno,” said Lena Matthews, President & CEO of Financial Resources. “The CUES Volunteer Hall of Fame Award is very well deserved. Our entire organization is extremely proud of his recognition.” Ms. Matthews also indicated that the Financial Resources Board of Directors nominated Mr. Bruno for the award and that the administrative employees gathered together to congratulate him on his achievement.

Additional criteria for the CUES Volunteer Hall of Fame Award include recognizing those who have shown dedication to self-development, encouragement of full board development, and have provided ideas for the advancement of all credit union boards.
