Financial Resources Federal Credit Union’s “Jeans Day Friday” program provides $2,265 in charitable contributions
BRIDGEWATER, NJ (April 10, 2014) – Borrowing an approach to “Casual Fridays,” Financial Resources Federal Credit Union established “Jeans Day Friday” in 2005 whereby each Friday, Credit Union employees are permitted to wear jeans by contributing at least $5.00 to a pool maintained by the Credit Union’s Foundation, Financial Resources FCU Foundation, Inc., for the benefit of charitable organizations. Employees have an opportunity to recommend the recipients of those proceeds. “Jeans Day” provides an opportunity for a relaxed day at work and builds a significant pool of funds over the course of a year to support the charities.
