ROCHESTER, MN (October 30, 2025) |
First Alliance Credit Union is hitting the road, literally, in a bold new effort to bring financial opportunity where it’s needed most.
Introducing the First Alliance Credit Union Mobile Branch: a full-service credit union branch on wheels designed to break down barriers, bridge distances, and bring personalized financial guidance directly to the heart of our communities.
“Our mobile branch is more than just a vehicle, it’s a symbol of our commitment to show up for people, wherever they are on their financial journey.” said Brent Rempe, President/CEO of First Alliance Credit Union. “We believe access to trusted financial services shouldn’t depend on your zip code; it’s a bold step in delivering on our mission to create a financial oasis where everyone has access to the opportunities they deserve.”
The mobile branch made its public debut with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce on October 29th at the Wood Lake Meeting Center in Rochester. The ceremony offered attendees an inside look at the innovative mobile unit and an opportunity to hear from key stakeholders in the development of the mobile branch.
The 40-foot mobile unit features private offices for one-on-one consultations and state-of-the-art Advisor Supported Kiosks where members can securely handle transactions, talk with live tellers, open accounts, and apply for loans, all without stepping foot in a traditional branch.
The mobile branch will travel throughout First Alliance Credit Union’s 14-county field of membership, prioritizing cities without physical branch locations and partnering with local organizations to ensure regular, accessible service.
Senator Carla Nelson, who represents MN District 24 and is a long-time credit union supporter, joined the mobile branch launch event and spoke about the positive impact the service will have on the community, “Families in southeast Minnesota want to make good financial choices, but to do that they need accessible financial services. That is why this concept excites me; it makes banking more accessible. I want to thank the innovative and visionary leadership of First Alliance for taking their services to where people are.”
The project was partially funded through a technical assistance grant from the CDFI Fund, reinforcing the credit union’s dedication to inclusive financial access and community development.
First Alliance Credit Union is actively seeking local organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to host the mobile branch in cities across Southeast Minnesota. If you’d like to schedule a visit or explore partnership opportunities, please contact Kristina Kovacevic at kkovacevic@firstalliancecu.com
