First Capital Federal Credit Union donates $1,700 to The Arc of York County!
YORK, PA (April 4, 2023) — For 1st Quarter 2023, First Capital started out the year by donating $1,700 to The Arc of York County. This money was raised through in-branch fundraisers like soft pretzel sales and our very first Employee Spirit Day. On March 3, employees paid $5 to participate in the “Rock Your Crocs and/or Socks” Spirit Day in support of The Arc of York County. All pictures of staff rocking their footwear were shared on social media and the staff member who received the most likes won a $25 Visa Gift Card for participating.
In addition to the in-branch fundraisers, First Capital also sponsored The Arc Ball and Auction, held on March 25 at the Country Club of York. The Ball featured a cocktail reception, dinner, and of course dancing.
The Arc of York County is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families.
“The Arc provides services for children and adults including year-round recreational programs, employment training and job placement, as well as community education,” said Tara Houser, VP of Marketing and Business Development. “First Capital is proud to support The Arc of York County in its mission.”
Every quarter, First Capital selects a different organization as its FirstCap Gives Back partner. For 2nd Quarter 2023, First Capital is raising money for Turning Point Counseling and Advocacy Center.
