First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union executives recognized as three of the regions power players, named to ‘Power 30’ Banking and Finance List

ALLENTOWN, PA (July 5, 2022) — First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, a topranked credit union in PA and leader in financial services innovation and inclusive banking in the Lehigh Valley, is proud to announce that three Executives were selected by Lehigh Valley Business as the region’s power players for its annual Power 30 Banking and Finance list – Donna LoStocco, President & CEO; Terry Grier, Chief Lending Officer, and John Melcher, Chief Strategy Officer are among the 30 honorees.

The Power 30 Banking and Finance list is composed of the region’s most significant, influential, and respected leaders in their fields, whose positions give them the ability to shape our communities and influence our quality of life. The honorees are chosen by Lehigh Valley Business’ editorial leadership team. “As a credit union, we are about people, not profits and it is a privilege to serve our communities across the Lehigh Valley. We are honored and humbled that three of our leaders have been recognized among the Banking and Finance Power 30 group of leaders,” said LoStocco.

Under their leadership, LoStocco, Grier and Melcher have made significant strides in making financial services and education within the Greater Lehigh Valley and its surrounding communities more accessible, affordable and inclusive. With a focus on serving the underserved and underbanked (through initiatives such as being a founding member of the Bank On Allentown Coalition and the first credit union in the Valley to proudly accept the Matrícula Consular de Mexico card as a form of acceptable identification to open new member accounts), and ongoing commitment to doing good and giving back (through the efforts of its Corporate Social Responsibility teams and $100,000 “Year of Giving” campaign), they are on a mission to empower the pursuit of financial happiness, paving the way for positive and lasting change that will strengthen our communities and keeping the entrepreneurial spirit thriving within the Lehigh Valley.

LoStocco has served as President & CEO of First Commonwealth for the last six years, leading the organization to surpass $1 billion in assets at the end of 2021, a significant milestone in the credit unions 60+ year history. Grier has been instrumental in enhancing First Commonwealth’s portfolio of lending products and services, with a key focus on building comprehensive business solutions and positioning First Commonwealth as a trusted financial partner for businesses throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley. In his newly expanded role, Melcher is leading strategic imperatives that allow First Commonwealth to continue to grow, expand and enhance its product offerings, capabilities and technology to meet the ever-changing needs of its over 70,000 members and 1,800 Employer Partners, all the while fostering an organizational culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, generosity and innovation.

“Congratulations to our colleagues and fellow honorees, there is power in numbers and by continuing the great work we are all doing, we will have a lasting impact on our community,” added LoStocco.
