On January 12, 2023, First New York Federal Credit Union (FCU) will present Catholic Charities Tri-County Services with a donation of 12k toilet paper rolls transformed into seven large Christmas trees. Together, both organizations will dismantle First New York FCU's trees and take the toilet paper donations to Catholic Charities Tri-County Services' five Capital Region food pantries and two soup kitchens.
This is an excellent video and photo opportunity. That morning we will knock down the toilet paper trees, creating a unique cascade of toilet paper rolls, and start moving the huge pile out to Catholic Charities TriCounty Services.
As of January 1, 2023, First New York FCU and Catholic Charities Tri-County Services surpassed last year's Toilet Paper Drive donation with 12k rolls of toilet paper through the generous support of their members, staff, and community. This charitable gift will help Catholic Charities Tri-County Services accommodate the 15-20% increase in individuals requiring their services. More specifically, local families and individuals in most need and unable to receive personal care items under Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
