FORT ATKINSON, WI (December 31, 2014) -- After 28 years working loyally as the Chief Financial Officer for Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU), Edmund Jiongco retired on December 31, 2014.
Jiongco joined FCCU on June 1, 1987 and has been instrumental to the growth of FCCU from $18 million in assets to over $200 million in assets serving over 17,000 member/owners. He earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Far Eastern University and earned his Master's of Science in Accounting from University of Wisconsin- Whitewater.
"I am privileged to be part of a team which achieved success that we can all be proud of. My career was challenging and I was well rewarded in kind and in friendship. I would like to thank everyone for the support and friendship over 28 years. I'm looking forward to having the time and the freedom to travel and hang out with family and friends." stated Jiongco.
Jiongco has been very active within the community and credit union industry. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fort Atkinson. He was instrumental in implementing the credit union's first debit card program and opening their second branch on the south side of Fort Atkinson.
He also coordinated the construction of the branches built in Jefferson and Whitewater and handled the financial accounting of the mergers with Security Credit Union, Whitewater Community Credit Union and Badgerland Credit Union. Throughout his career at FCCU, Jiongco was on the Audit, Budget and Asset Liability, and the Investment Committee.
