FORUM Credit Union’s Bright Start Program features youth entrepreneurial contest
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 10, 2014) — FORUM Credit Union’s Bright Start Program is designed to promote early entrepreneurial skills for kids and teens. The program also features an annual contest for kids and teens to be entered to win a prize of $100.
The contest allows youth ages 8-19, with the help of an adult, to submit a picture or video that represents their business by July 31, 2014. Photos should be emailed to offers@forumcu.com to be entered into the drawing. Videos can be uploaded to a member’s personal YouTube Channel. Members can then send the URL to offers@forumcu.com to be entered to win.
FORUM believes the entrepreneurial spirit can positively impact a child’s life as it teaches responsibility, promotes financial independence, improves communication skills, and inspires self-esteem. FORUM’s Bright Start Program also offers resources and ideas for youth who are interested in starting their own business. The program provides detailed steps for youth to take in order to create and run their own business. Steps include conceptualizing an idea, marketing, and running the business.
