Four credit unions sign with TMG for card processing

DES MOINES, IA  (October 27, 2014) — America’s First Federal Credit Union, Kern Schools Federal Credit Union, Stanford Federal Credit Union and Westby Co-op Credit Union (WCCU) have each named The Members Group (TMG) as their card processing partner.

America’s First FCU, based in Birmingham, Ala., brings 20,000 credit cards to TMG for full-service processing. With an objective to grow its portfolio, the $1.3 billion credit union is looking to TMG for everything from marketing and cardmember support to data analytics and fraud prevention. America’s First FCU also plans to participate in TMG’s streamlined EMV migration process to convert its credit card portfolio to the EMV standard.

“Understanding and prioritizing the cardmember experience is our strategy for credit card portfolio growth,” said Denise Vasut, America’s First FCU AVP of IT operations. “TMG has strong capabilities in this area, and we look forward to a long-term partnership in providing the most competitive credit card products possible to our members.”

With a new credit card program in the works, Kern Schools FCU joins TMG as a start-up credit card processing client. The $1.2 billion, Bakersfield, Calif., cooperative has more than 160,000 members.

Located four hours north in Palo Alto, Calif., Stanford FCU has also joined TMG as a full-service credit card client.  With nearly 19,500 accounts in its portfolio, the $1.5 billion cooperative plans to build on the success of its program by leveraging TMG’s choice and merchant-funded rewards solutions.

WCCU of Westby, Wis., with nearly 27,000 members and $384 million in assets, will bring just more than 5,000 credit card accounts to TMG. Maintaining a 7.75% APR, the credit union offers its members one of the most competitive card products available today.
