Fran’s remarkable journey began in January 1985 when she joined what was then known as “Saginaw Municipal Employees Credit Union” as a Teller. Over the years, she ascended through various roles, from teller to CEO, shaping the credit union into the thriving institution it is today.
Fran’s tenure with the credit union was more than a career; it was a lifelong commitment to the principles of the credit union movement – a movement built on the foundation of “people helping people.” Her tireless dedication to this mission has shaped the lives of countless individuals and families within the community. From her early days as a Teller, Fran consistently demonstrated her belief in the power of community and service, always striving to “make it a great day” for both members and colleagues.
As Head Teller and Assistant Manager, Fran showcased her leadership prowess, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and excellence. Her rise to the position of Branch Manager further underscored her leadership abilities, and she continued to climb the ladder with determination and grace, eventually assuming the role of CEO.
Fran’s leadership style was defined by her genuine care for everyone she encountered. One of her favorite phrases, “serving one member at a time,” epitomized her commitment to personalized service that transformed the credit union experience for all.
