Global Credit Union participates in Wear Pink campaign

SPOKANE, WA (December 19, 2019) — In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Global launched our Wear Pink on Friday’s campaign in collaboration with the American Cancer Society to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.

As part of Global’s dedication to finding a cure, employees and community members were encouraged to show their support for breast cancer patients and their loved ones by wearing pink on every Friday during the month of October.

Not only did Global get involved by wearing pink, but employees and members were encouraged to donate at their branches.  “The fight with breast cancer is a journey that requires support from all aspects of the community. Global is determined to aid those in need by providing support to those affected by this,” said Mary Starkey, COO and Executive Vice President, Global Credit Union.

The American Cancer Society is committed to helping not only to curing breast cancer, but also helping to prevent breast cancer, guidelines that help detect breast cancers early and providing support and information about treatments options while still aiding in the coping and emotional side effects of the illness.
