Global Credit Union selected as Best Credit Union in the Air Force

SPOKANE, WA (August 19, 2022) — The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) has announced the 2021 Distinguished Credit Union of the Year awards and the Department of the Air Force selected Global Credit Union as Best Credit Union of the Year.

This special recognition from the Department of the Air Force is for the banks and credit unions who provide outstanding products, services and support to the Air and Space Force. This is the second time Global has been awarded this prestigious honor, the first being in 1996 as Global Federal Credit Union.

Along with the award, the Department of the Air Force (DAF) shared that, “Throughout 2021, these financial institutions provided outstanding products and services to support the Air and Space Force missions and the Total Force. Congratulations to these financial institutions and their staff!”

Global Credit Union is honored to serve the members who serve our country. “Hearing that Global Fairchild won this award filled us with elation!” said Fairchild Branch Manager, Tonya Murray. “We come to work each day with a service before self mentality, just as our military do. This has brought us many connections and friendships in our community here. We all work as one big team and we are so proud to get to serve those who serve us!”

Global Credit Union is proud to receive this award which highlights its efforts to serve military members. The award couldn’t have come at a better time as Global has officially merged and become Global Credit Union: A Division of Alaska USA. Just recently, Alaska USA won Best Credit Union in the state of Alaska and was also recognized as a top credit union in Arizona and Washington. It is a privilege to see the values and intentions of both credit unions making a difference in the lives of members. In Global’s merger with Alaska USA there is opportunity to continue providing great products, services and support to the community.
