Global CU participates in Walk MS – Virtual Walk

SPOKANE, WA (April 23, 2020) — In order to keep our community safe amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 virus, the walk for Walk MS has been replaced by a virtual experience.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an auto immune disease that effects the nervous system by disrupting the form of connection our brains use to communicate with our bodies.
Global has recruited a virtual team to continue on and raise money for an organization benefiting those highly effected by the virus.

In order to raise these funds, Global has recruited a group of 20 dedicated individuals to raise an ambitious goal of $4,000 for the National MS Society.

“Our Global team is comprised of driven and motivated individuals” said Shannon Mitchel, Global Credit Union Digital Experience Manager and Walk MS Team Captain. “The money that our team is working to raise will be used to conduct research that will provide life-changing programs for those effected by multiple sclerosis”.

We invite our community to join our Global team and donate to help those effected by the unpredictable and often disabling disease. To make a donation, go online to www.globalcu.org/community, visit a drive-up branch or Interactive Teller Machine.

Our virtual Walk MS will occur on Sunday, April 26, 2020.  Follow our social media pages and join in the virtual fun!  For more information on how to help, please visit www.globalcu.org.
