Goldenwest & USU Credit Unions accepting donations for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

(June 12, 2015) — Goldenwest and USU Credit Union branch locations throughout Utah are accepting donations on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the month of June. Tellers at the branches are playing a key role in the fundraising campaign by asking members to donate a $1 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) as they conduct their transactions.

“Goldenwest is committed to raising awareness and support for the thousands of people who are living with the challenges of Cystic Fibrosis,” commented Diana Windley, Goldenwest Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “Together with our incredibly generous members, we can help add tomorrows and change the world for people affected by CF.”

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited, life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. The disease affects about 30,000 children and adults throughout the United States. There is currently no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The Foundation supports research to discover and develop new treatments to control and cure Cystic Fibrosis.

One hundred percent of the funds collected by the credit union will be presented to the Utah Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Donations will be accepted at all 26 Goldenwest and USU Credit Union branches through June 30, 2015. Donations can also be made online at gwcu.org/cff or usucu.org/cff. All members of the community are invited to donate, regardless of credit union membership status.
