CCUA (Cooperative Credit Union Association) recently hosted the Awards of Excellence at their annual APEX Conference. Dennis Hebert, GSCU’s Vice President of Culture and Employee Engagement, was honored as Professional of the Year at this ceremony. This award is given to those who represent dedication to cooperative values, willingness to go above and beyond, focus on providing quality service to members, while also holding a positive attitude, being a leader among their peers, and serving their community.
Hebert has worked for Granite State Credit Union for 37 years while holding a variety of positions at the credit union. He has held management roles in Training, Security, Consumer Lending, Sales, and served as Vice President of Business Development.
Hebert provided leadership to the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the NH Credit Union League from 2003 to 2016, introducing and administering a highly successful annual Holiday Auction to benefit NH Make-a-Wish. Hebert has also served on the NH Credit Union League Social Responsibility Committee and the America’s Credit Union Financial Literacy Committee for many years.
Hebert is active in his local community. He has served as coach, Director, Vice President, and President of the Candia Youth Athletic Association for 15 years. Hebert currently serves as chairman of the Trustee of Trust Funds as well as a member of the Safety Complex Committee in his hometown of Candia. He is also a member of the Pinkerton Academy Business Advisory Council and Hudson Career & Workforce Development Committee.
Hebert’s recognition as Credit Union Professional of the Year underscores his impact as a leader at GSCU and in the credit union industry.
