CARSON CITY, NV (April 29, 2014) -- Since 2008, Greater Nevada Credit Union has participated in and been named a finalist in the Reno/Tahoe Best Places to Work Awards. However, this year the credit union earned the distinct honor of being one of the top three employers in the large business category, which included well-known companies such as Starbucks and Patagonia Works.
Greater Nevada’s VP of People, Teresa Mooney, said: “This award is the result of our amazing Greater Nevada team. Our employees truly embody the credit union’s core values of care, service, trust, inspiration, people and progress.”
To better serve the region, Greater Nevada Credit Union will open another branch in Reno this spring. The full-service branch will include conveniences such as a walk-up ATM with check deposit, a 24-hour depository for business members, and a progressive in-branch experience.
Greater Nevada is headquartered in Carson City, Nevada and has been serving northern Nevada since 1949. The credit union has more than 45,000 members and $474,000,000 in assets. For more information, visit gncu.org.
