Greylock Celebrates Opening of Greenport Branch

PITTSFIELD, MA (September 2, 2022) — Town Supervisor, Katherine Eldridge and Hudson Mayor Kamal Johnson were among the dignitaries on hand to help celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony of Greylock Federal Credit Union’s branch at 464 Fairview Avenue last Wednesday afternoon.

“We actually opened this beautiful branch in February of 2021,” stated Greylock’s Chief Administrative Officer JamieEllen Moncecchi, “but the pandemic prevented us from hosting any type of public celebration. Town officials, residents and area businesses have been so welcoming to us. Thank you to everyone in Greenport for the chance to become a part of this community.”

Greylock built this branch during the height of the lockdown to serve 1,500 Columbia County residents that were already Members of the Credit Union. The branch now connects to nearly 2,800 area Members with Greylock’s network of over 320 financial experts. Greylock specializes in serving rural communities with the unique services and products they need to thrive.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this great community to provide the financial products it so deserves and to be a part of this team that places financial equity and access as a top priority,” said Greylock’s Chief Lending Officer Jodi Rathbun-Briggs.

“We strive to be a different kind of financial institution, to co-create value within neighborhoods, businesses and families. We do so by not simply donating to area causes, but by going a step further and becoming active partners,” continued Moncecchi.  “We have already worked with so many awesome community organizations like: the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Sanctuary Movement, Columbia Greene Community College, Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Habitat for Humanity, Hudson Catskill Housing Coalition, Salvation Army, the Museum of Firefighting, local high schools, and so many more. It is all about the community.”

“Greylock is not just a place to do your banking. It’s a place that truly offers the opportunity to grow,” praised local Branch Manager Shanatia Bygrave. “We help our Members find their path to financial wellness with the help of our many Financial Coaches, including myself. It’s a one stop shop for your entire family.”
