On October 24, 2022, the groundbreaking for ORNL Federal Credit Union’s new Middlebrook branch took place outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. Design Collaborative (DC) worked with the ORNL team closely to design this new 3,600 SF service center, with its focus on delivering expanded financial services in wealth management and lending, as well as providing transactional services with teller pods. DC’s partnership with ORNL FCU has spanned over 7 years, 17 projects with over 135,000 of square feet of completed work, and currently three projects under construction.
The new branch will provide a lobby/hospitality area, conference rooms, multiple financial service offices, a drive thru with multiple Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), and a night deposit for member use. ORNL FCU aims to provide enhanced member financial services, and to better serve their clients with the new service center.
