Grow Financial Raised More than $7,000 in Support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

TAMPA, FL, (October 9, 2012) – For the sixth year in a row, Grow Financial participated in the Race for the Cure held at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg on Saturday, October 6.  Fifty employees with their friends and family made up the Grow Financial team, and Grow Financial’s Executive Vice President, Thomas Feindt kicked off the race. All employees who participated received a pink event shirt, sunglasses, bracelet, pin and ribbon to wear in order to show their support and team spirit.

Last year, Grow Financial donated $5,520 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for their dollar jeans days fundraising event. This year, Grow Financial is a silver sponsor for the cause and donated $7,500.  As a silver sponsor Grow Financial had a tent where brochures, granola bars, and Grow materials were distributed to race attendees.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is recognized as the global leader of the breast cancer awareness movement, and has raised more than $1.9 billion for breast cancer research and treatment since its founding in 1982.
