Hanscom FCU supports Hanscom AFB recognition ceremony

Board members from Hanscom Federal Credit Union recently attended the 66th Air Base Group annual awards ceremony at the Minuteman Commons on Hanscom Air Force Base. The credit union sponsored the ceremony with a contribution of $3,000.

The theme of the evening was “When the Goal Gets Blurred Adjust and Focus.” Forty nine nominees competed in seventeen categories, which included awards for airmen, officers (commissioned and noncommissioned), and civilians. Col. Chad Ellsworth, 66th Air Base Group commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Henry Hayes, 66th Air Base Group command chief, presented the winners with their awards. Hanscom FCU’s Chairman Emeritus Paul Marotta was a special guest for the evening, presenting the Military Volunteer Award to Airman First Class Brett D. Estes.

“We have a longstanding, deep connection to the military, and with the Air Force community in particular. More than just calling Hanscom Air Force Base our home, we’re connected to the people who live and work here supporting our nation,” said Mr. Marotta. “We’re honored to be able to support an evening of recognition for all of the hard work these service members and civilians do to make Hanscom AFB the best it can be.”
