Hanscom FCU wins a Diamond Award for brand awareness

Hanscom Federal Credit Union won a coveted Diamond Award for a brand awareness campaign in the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s annual awards competition. The award was given during the Council’s 26th annual conference in Las Vegas, NV in March.

Hanscom FCU’s award-winning direct mail campaign encouraged local residents from Littleton, MA, to visit their new local branch to learn more about the services it offers the community. The mailer was printed on biodegradable paper imprinted with seeds, which could be planted to grow flowers. Residents who visited the branch with their direct mail piece were presented with coordinating seed packets and a $10 gift card to a local nursery.

“Our awareness campaign to get local residents into our newest branch in Littleton was well thought out, innovative, and perfectly targeted,” said Paul Marotta, Hanscom FCU’s Chairman of the Board.  “I’m so pleased the judges at CUNA recognized our creative approach and awarded our marketing department with this well-deserved accolade.”

The Diamond Awards honors credit unions in 36 categories, ranging from direct mail to website marketing to public relations to social media. Judges evaluated over 1,000 entries on strategy, design, production, creative concept, copy, communication, and results.
