HCFCU Marks International Credit Union Day
Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union joins credit unions around the world in celebrating International Credit Union Day and, in keeping with its philosophy of “people helping people,” Hawaii Community FCU will mark International Credit Union Day by hosting its annual Market Day fundraiser.
Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union’s Kailua-Kona, Kaloko and Kealakekua branches will hold Market Day 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 in Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in Kaloko.
The credit union’s Kohala and Honokaa branches will hold Market Day 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19.
The branches’ Market Day will feature fresh produce, baked goods, rummage sale items and crafts unique to each branch.
Everyone is invited to participate in their community’s Market Day and all proceeds will benefit the West Hawaii Community Health Center, the credit union’s social responsibility beneficiary.
This year’s International Credit Union Day theme, “Members Matter Most,” emphasizes that credit unions exist to serve their members.
Those members are part of a global community where the philosophy of people helping people goes beyond the walls of each credit union and into the community.
