The award recognizes a credit union that demonstrates exceptional service, community impact,  advocacy, and commitment to the credit union philosophy of people helping people.

Health Advantage Credit Union was honored for its deep community involvement and authentic  service culture. In announcing the award, MCUL highlighted the credit union's meaningful impact  through financial education, volunteer leadership, and dedicated support for healthcare workers  and families.

"What makes this recognition so meaningful is that it acknowledges the way our team serves others  every day," said Laura Crase, President and CEO of Health Advantage Credit Union. "We have built a  culture centered on people - our members, our employees, and our communities. That culture is  reflected in the time our staff members volunteer, the financial education we provide, our  commitment to healthcare workers and families, and the relationships we build. I am grateful for  our volunteer Board of Directors and proud of every employee who lives our mission through their  actions."

During 2025, the credit union's 37 employees participated in community engagement efforts,  contributing more than 1,000 volunteer hours throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. Team  members served on nonprofit boards, mentored local students, supported community events, and  volunteered with organizations focused on health, wellness, education, and family services.

Health Advantage Credit Union is committed to helping members and community residents build  financial confidence through education. During the year, the credit union offered free educational  opportunities including a Fraud Awareness Webinar Series, College 101 Webinar, and Wills & Trust  Seminar. In addition, the organization expanded its team of Certified Credit Union Financial  Counselors, further strengthening its commitment to member financial wellness.

Investing in education is another way Health Advantage makes a difference.
