NEWBURGH, IN (April 28, 2014) -- Heritage Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce their partnership with SWBC (Southwest Business Corporation), a diversified financial services company that will provide additional, customizable vehicle protection products for the credit union’s members.
This partnership allows the credit union to offer their members additional payment protection plans and programs with their vehicle loan to help protect them against unforeseen circumstances. These products are commonly known as Debt Cancellation, Major Mechanical Protection (MMP), and GAP Advantage.
Debt Cancellation will cover the loan balance and/or monthly loan payments in the unfortunate event of the member’s death, disability, or involuntary unemployment.
Major Mechanical Protection, often referred to as (MMP), is coverage available in different levels to offer protection beyond your typical vehicle’s warranty.
Guaranteed Asset Protection, or (GAP) Advantage, covers a condition known as being upside down or underwater—when you owe more on the loan than what the vehicle is worth. GAP Advantage covers all or a portion of the gap between what you owe on a vehicle and what it’s worth if your vehicle is totaled in a covered loss, such as an accident or theft.
