NEWBURGH, IN (May 27, 2014) -- Heritage Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that President & CEO Ruth Jenkins received the Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) designation after successful completion of regulatory training presented by the Credit Union National Association.
The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is the premier national trade association serving credit unions. Ninety percent of America’s credit unions are affiliated with CUNA, which supports the credit union movement by providing a number of services including the Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert certification. The CUNA Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert Certification Program enables credit union executives to gain an understanding of enterprise risk management methodology and how risk management can drive decision making at their credit union.
Jenkins was recently designated a Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert after she completed training that concluded with a final exam. The training covered a comprehensive understanding of enterprise risk management in the following areas: Understanding Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Introduction to ERM Fundamentals, Regulatory Risk Management, Policy & Procedure Development, ERM Roles & Responsibilities, Economic Capital & Capital Adequacy, Risk Appetite Development & Annual Review, Scenario Development & Risk Sourcing, Risk Action Planning, ERM and Strategic Planning, ERM & Auditors/Examiners, ERM Integration with Other Risk Functions, Risk Management Traps, Third-parties in the ERM Process, and The Role of Insurance.
