Hiway Credit Union Foundation’s fourth annual curling fundraising event raises more than $80,000

ST. PAUL, MN (November 15, 2021) — Hiway Credit Union Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization established by Hiway Credit Union® (Hiway), raised more than $80,000 at the credit union’s Fourth Annual Curling Fundraising Event.

The event was held at the St. Paul Curling Club on November 4, 2021, a return after last year’s virtual event. Over 100 business and community partners, including Minnesota credit union representatives and educators, attended the event to enjoy a curling competition, lunch buffet, raffle, and silent auction. Profits from the event benefit financial literacy for underserved youth in the community.

“We are humbled by the support that we received around this event and its focus to provide financial literacy and life skills to the underserved youth in our community,” said Christine Cordell, Hiway Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Hiway Credit Union Foundation Board Chair. “We are grateful for all those who made this event a record-breaking success and those who came out to support the Hiway Credit Union Foundation. It is truly a fun event focused on deepening our positive reach within our communities. Funds raised from this event provide student scholarships, teacher grants and additional program funding. Thank you to all those who made this possible!”
