Hiway Credit Union names Tim McNeil as VP of mortgage lending

ST. PAUL, MN (February 23, 2021)

Hiway Credit Union President/CEO Dave Boden has announced that Tim McNeil has been named Vice President of Mortgage Lending for the St. Paul based credit union. McNeil takes over Hiway’s Mortgage division following the retirement of long-time Hiway executive, Mary Koonce.

McNeil joined Hiway in October, 2019 bringing with him over 20 years of mortgage, underwriting and loan processing experience.

“The mortgage industry is seeing unprecedented low rates, leading to a record number of new loan applications along with many who are refinancing,” said Dave Boden, Hiway’s President/CEO. “Our mortgage team has really been shining as they work through this unprecedented volume. With Mary – a 35-year veteran of the Hiway family – retiring, we are fortunate to have someone with the experience that Tim has to help fill her role and lead our mortgage team.”

Boden added, “This past year has been trying for so many and the record low mortgage rate is one place that many consumers have found some financial relief. Tim has experience in all aspects of the mortgage process, from sales to underwriting and closing to working with the various government program so he understands what needs to be done to keep meeting the needs of our members and to deliver the outstanding member services that Hiway is known for.”

Prior to joining Hiway, McNeil served as a Branch Manager with Mann Mortgage where he oversaw all aspects of branch operations including sales, origination, processing, underwriting and closing. McNeil spent over three years with Lake Area Mortgage as their Operations Manager and five years with US Bank Home Mortgage. He also brings with him over 15 years of management experience.
