ST LOUIS, MO (August 4, 2014) — On June 9 (Affton), 24 (St. Peters) and July 8 (Hazelwood), 2014 Neighbors Credit Union hosted their free Home Buying Mortgage Seminars.

Chris Smith, Mortgage Manager and Scott Beeman, Mortgage Development Officer from Neighbors Credit Union, conducted the seminars. The seminars explained how your credit report can affect your ability to get a loan, what mortgage lenders you should be looking at, how large of a down payment you should make and what type of loan is best for you. There were also Realtors from different agencies that came out to speak to our members about the importance of buying a home and what to look for when home shopping.

Chris Smith stated, “We are proud to host these free seminars for our community. By providing educational resources it helps our members successfully buy a home.  We know that purchasing a home is one of the most important investments in our members’ lives; that’s why we do everything we can to help our members understand the process.”
