Honor Credit Union awarding $10,000 in scholarships

ST JOSEPH, MI (February 25, 2014) — Honor Credit Union’s “Community Commitment Scholarships” are back!  Powered By Honor, Honor Credit Union’s charitable fund, will provide the total $10,000 in scholarships.  Eager to once again contribute to students’ educations, Honor will be awarding ten applicants each $1,000 toward their continued education at an accredited college, trade school, or university of their choice.  Applications must be submitted to Honor Credit Union by March 31, 2014.

Graduating high school or home school seniors that are members of Honor Credit Union and have been accepted to an accredited U.S. undergraduate program are eligible to apply to win one of the ten scholarships that will be awarded.  Community involvement, extracurricular activities, and an essay will all be evaluated equally as Honor’s selection committee scores each applicant to determine the ten winners.  Reinvesting in the community, including education and student success, continues to be a focus of Honor.  The “Community Commitment Scholarships” is just another way that Honor can contribute to the educational success of students in the communities they serve.  More information on the scholarship application procedure and requirements can be found at www.honorcu.com.
